About Olliver Grey

The Olliver Grey Story
Olliver Grey is a Canadian menswear brand built on family, craftsmanship, and a deep respect for the art of tailoring. Launched in 2015 by Balfour Clothing in Toronto, the line was created to bring finely crafted Italian sport coats and tailored clothing to the North American market with the quality, fit, and character men expect from luxury menswear. Every garment begins with carefully selected fabrics, refined trimmings, and close collaboration between Canadian design leadership and Italian artisan tailors. The result is clothing with Italian pride in every stitch: distinctive, wearable, and made for men who appreciate thoughtful design, exceptional fabric, and a modern approach to classic style.
The Olliver Grey Team

John Greco
John Greco grew up surrounded by the art of tailoring. The son of Luigi Greco, he spent his earliest years watching and helping his father, developing an appreciation for clothing, craftsmanship, and the relationships that sit at the heart of the menswear business.
Before joining Balfour Clothing, John built a strong foundation in retail, business, and finance. He began working in retail at the age of 15 while attending school, later earning a business degree and starting his professional career in accounting. After two years in the accounting field, the timing aligned for John to join his father at Balfour Clothing, bringing with him both a practical business mind and a lifelong connection to tailoring.
At Balfour, John learned the business from the inside out. He worked directly with customers, sold thousands of custom suits, and developed a deep understanding of fit, service, production, and what men truly want from their clothing. That experience helped shape his approach to wholesale, where his focus became supporting retailers with well-made product, strong service, and a genuine respect for their business.
In 2015, John helped launch Olliver Grey with creative director Umberto Dall’Agnese after recognizing a need in the market for finely crafted Italian sport coats and tailored clothing that delivered luxury fabric, distinctive design, and exceptional fit without the inflated price tag. Built through longstanding relationships with Italian fabric mills, production partners, and artisan tailors, Olliver Grey reflects John’s belief that great clothing should combine quality, value, character, and wearability.
Today, John continues to lead with the same principles that shaped his career from the beginning: respect for the craft, loyalty to retailers, attention to fit, and a commitment to building a business with integrity and good spirit.

Anna Greco
Anna Greco brings a strong retail eye, entrepreneurial background, and deep understanding of style to the Olliver Grey story. Married to John since 2003, Anna has long shared in the world of clothing, travel, and design, with a career rooted in women’s retail and customer experience. Before working full time with John, Anna owned and operated her own retail store, where she developed a sharp instinct for buying, merchandising, and understanding what customers respond to on the floor. After closing the store in 2014, she moved into real estate, building another layer of experience in business, service, and relationships.
In 2019, Anna and John began working together, bringing their shared history, complementary strengths, and family-business perspective into the clothing brands. Today, Anna focuses full time on the business, traveling with John to Italy to buy collections, meet with factories, and help shape the direction of the brands. Her background in retail gives her a valuable perspective on what makes a product not only beautiful, but sellable, wearable, and meaningful to the customer.
With a thoughtful eye for detail and a natural understanding of people, Anna plays an important role in carrying forward the spirit of Olliver Grey: refined clothing, strong relationships, and a business built with care.

Umberto Dall’Agnese
A fifth-generation tailor, Umberto Dall’Agnese brings a lifetime of craftsmanship, design, and sartorial expertise to Olliver Grey. Raised around his father’s tailor shop, Umberto developed an early fascination with the art of creating garments that were made not only to fit, but to reflect the individual wearing them. By age 13, he was already working in the shop, learning the discipline, precision, and personal care that define true tailoring.
His career has spanned decades in both design and custom clothing. Umberto spent 25 years at Tip Top Tailors, beginning as an assistant designer and later becoming head designer. He went on to work with Sartoria Momento in Toronto, operated his own custom tailor shop, and eventually joined Balfour Clothing, where his experience in construction, fit, and design became central to the company’s tailored clothing direction.
In 2015, Umberto partnered with Balfour CEO John Greco to launch Olliver Grey, a collection created to fill a clear gap in the North American menswear market: finely crafted Italian sport coats with luxury fabrics, modern styling, strong construction, and accessible retail pricing. Together, they built Olliver Grey around longstanding relationships with Italian fabric mills and production partners, allowing the brand to deliver elevated clothing with a fashionable point of view and a fit designed for the North American man.

Olliver Greco
Olliver started coming to work with us when he was just three months old, and he has been part of the Olliver Grey family ever since. These days, he loves coming into the office, greeting retailers, making new friends, and soaking up all the attention he absolutely believes he deserves. He is sweet, playful, full of personality, and has just enough little attitude to keep everyone on their toes. Above all, he’s adored by the team and is always a very good boy.
